If you’re on the hunt for a powerful PC for 1440p and 4K gaming, alongside a CPU that’s a productivity powerhouse, then this could be just the deal for you. This high-end MSI Aegis RS2 Series gaming PC is down $500 at Newegg, and reduced from $3,099.99 to $2,599.00. It’s also at its lowest price in 30 days, even before the President’s Day sales start kicking into full swing at various retailers. What you’re getting here is the brilliant RTX 5070 Ti paired with the top-end Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, a processor with a huge core count, high boost clock speed, and large L3 cache that’s excellent for gaming and incredible for creative workflows, multitasking, and more. On top of that, there’s a huge 32GB of DDR5 RAM to handle demanding AAA games with ease, such as open-world titles, and a big 2TB SSD to accommodate a vast gaming library. It’s pricier than most RTX 5070 Ti prebuilds, but if you’re going for something that ticks all of the boxes and boasts MSI-standard build quality, then this is well worth it.

Key features of this MSI Aegis RS2 Series gaming PC

Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor

The 9 285K is the top dog from Intel’s Core Ultra lineup, and is an excellent choice for the RTX 5070 Ti for those who want a CPU that’s excellent for 1440p and 4K gaming, in addition to boasting outstanding multitasking and productivity performance. It has 24 cores, which makes it one of the best options you can get to handle creative workflows, streaming, and more, plus it features a dedicated NPU for AI-accelerated tasks. Overall, it’s a brilliant all-rounder, and while it does drive the price of a prebuild higher than say, an Intel Core Ultra 7-265K, it is well worth it if you’re looking for a processor that excels at more than just gaming. RTX 5070 Ti graphics card

One of the very best graphics cards you can get, if you’re after top-tier 1440p performance and capable handling of 4K, the latter of which is similar to the RTX 4080 Super in some benchmarks. What sets this card apart from something like the RX 9070 XT, a close competitor, is its more recent technology and capabilities. It has 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and GDDR7 memory, which is significantly faster than GDDR6. On top of that, there are exclusive 50-series features, like multi-frame generation, which leverages the 5070 TI’s improved AI power, and for creatives, there are 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders to improve a wide range of workflows, such as video exporting, for example. Overall, a brilliant card to go for if you don’t fancy shelling out on an RTX 5080, and arguably better value-per-dollar, too.

Storage and RAM

You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 RAM in this build, which is ideal if you want more headroom to run more demanding AAA titles. Where it really comes into its own is with open-world games, which can use a huge amount of memory simply to run. 32GB of DDR5 is going to help keep everything running smoothly and reduce stuttering or jumping when you spin the camera or enter new areas of the map, for instance. In games like Cyberpunk 2077, this can make all the difference.

Things to consider

Generally speaking, most RTX 5070 Ti gaming PCs are between $1,800 to $2,500, in most cases, so this is quite pricey relatively speaking. If you wanted to get something more affordable, I’d recommend looking at the 7-265K option, as they still have very high core counts, large L3 caches, and high boost clock speeds, but are closer to $2,200. You may also want to consider an Intel 14th-gen option, like the i7-14700F, for something more affordable, but slightly less future-proof, in some respects.
