(CNN) – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is under fire for selling a Nazi-era Olympic Games T-shirt.
The shirt features a poster from the 1936 Berlin Games, which were used by Hitler to spread Nazi propaganda.

During those Games, Hitler promoted his vision of “Aryan” athletes as racially superior, labeling Black athletes as “non-humans.”
Black track star Jesse Owens won four gold medals at the Berlin Games.
He is famously shown on the podium accepting those medals, surrounded by people giving the Nazi salute.
The shirt in question is sold as part of the IOC’s heritage collection.
The committee defended its decision to sell the shirt, saying its heritage collection celebrates 130 years of Olympic art and design and features all previous Games.
