Hello everyone! As a huge Cyberpunk fan and a Brazilian, I wanted to share some cool background about our favorite replicant clown, Ozob, from the mission 'Send In The Clowns'.
Many of you might not know this, but Ozob isn't an original CDPR creation, he’s actually a guest character from NerdCast, the biggest RPG podcast in Brazil. He was created and played by Deive Pazos (also known as 'Azaghal').
I decided to put together a list of cool facts about the character and his lore, because it's really cool and I think more people should know about it.
1: In his original lore, Ozob is a Replicant (just like in Blade Runner). However, he was created by a mad scientist who was obsessed with 20th-century clowns, which explains his peculiar look.
2: His name and look are a parody of Bozo the Clown, who was a massive cultural phenomenon in Brazil during the 1980s.
3: That grenade in his nose isn't just a design choice; in the podcast, he actually replaced his red nose with a live grenade because… well, it’s Ozob.
4: The podcast also features a dark parody of Patati & Patatá (a very famous duo of children's clowns in Brazil from the 2000s). In the RPG universe, they are creepy Siamese twin replicant clowns.
These are the interesting facts I thought were worth sharing. But in general, I'd really like to know what the community thinks of this character. I think he's brilliant and a very original idea. What about you?
