RTX 5080 graphics card
For 4K gaming, it’s hard to beat the RTX 5080, especially if the 5090 is out of your price bracket, as it is for many. Compared to the RTX 4080, the RTX 5080 boasts newer GDDR7 memory, a higher TDP of 360W, PCIe 5.0 support, 5th-gen tensor cores, and 4th-gen ray tracing cores. It’s around 18% faster at 4K than the RTX 4080, but actually launched for $200 less, making it a better value-per-dollar. Notably, it’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, and has exclusive features like MFG, which can dramatically enhance perceived framerates and contribute to a smoother gaming session. Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor
A curious selection for the RTX 5080, especially with the new Ryzen 7 9800X3D readily available, but it’s still a great option. One of the best gaming CPU releases in recent years, the 7800X3D boasts a game-changing 3D V-cache, which allows it to store much more data for faster access, resulting in higher fps and lower frame latency. It’s also not too shabby for multitasking and content creators, boasting a middle-of-the-line 8 cores and 16 threads. A great pick for 1440p and 4K ad one of our top reviewed processors from AMD.
Storage and RAM
You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 RAM here, and it’s Corsair’s own Dominator Titanium. It’s RGB, which gives it a bit of visual flair, and from a performance standpoint, it’s going to be excellent for running demanding AAA titles, creative applications, and aiding overall system responsiveness. It also features a 2TB SSD, which is large enough for a robust gaming library and ideal if you need enough extra room for dense media files, like 4K footage, if you’re a video editor, for example.
Things to consider
This is by far one of the priciest RTX 5080 gaming PCs I’ve come across, but it does come with the Corsair territory, as you’re really paying for absolute S-tier design and build quality. That being said, you can find RTX 5080 prebuilds for much less than this, even going as low as under $2,500 if you opt for an Intel Core Ultra 7-265K build, which would actually be a good alternative if you’re primarily using your PC for content creation.
