I got a 4TB NVME online (mercadolibre), which ended up being a fake.

On the back it says something about demo and then compared to an original (1tb) you can see the logo is not light reflective, just solid blue, not sure if also the board being fully black is an indicator of not being original.

The box looks pretty legit, excep that the language is in english/french/italian, usually when its targeted to LATAM its in english/spanish/portuguese.

I bought the drive, installed it without noticing the red flags, formatted it to NTFS and tried to add 600gb of games, after the 50 GB mark, steam went from 1gbps download speed to 0-10mbps, i moved the download to another drive and it was 1gbps so i knew it was not a network issue, i ran crystaldiskinfo and kingston's validation program, nothing looked wrong on them, SMART didnt show anything wrong either.

i created a 2tb file and moved it to the fake drive, pc crashed, the drive died and was not recognized by the bios anymore.

My money is safe since this is a fraudulent seller so i just lost time here but i figured the story might help others.
