CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) – The city of Cordele will celebrate the reopening of the children’s department at the Cordele-Crisp Carnegie Library with a public event on Wednesday, Feb. 11, city officials announced.

The children’s center was closed for renovations.

The renovated children’s department features new books, board games and new seating and rugs.

The city encouraged anyone wanting to attend to do so. The grand reopening is open to the public and free to attend. Refreshments will be provided at the event, officials said.

The celebration is scheduled for 11 a.m. Feb. 11 at the library, located at 115 11th Avenue East in Cordele.
