I’m planning to buy Black Ops Cold War on PC mainly for multiplayer because I prefer the old-school CoD style compared to the newer games.
I previously bought Modern Warfare (2023), but I didn’t like it because the movement feels too fast for me.
I’m from Asia and I’m trying to decide whether to buy Cold War on Steam or Battle.net. Is there any difference in connection quality between the two? Would Battle.net give me better ping or more stable servers in this region, or does it not really matter?
I also noticed that on Battle.net you can change your region (Asia, Europe, or America). Does that actually affect matchmaking or connection quality in multiplayer?
I’m a bit worried that there might be fewer players in Asia, so I’m thinking about switching to America or Europe on Battle.net if that works. Would that actually help with finding matches, or would it just increase my ping?
I’d really appreciate any advice before I make the purchase. Thanks!
