Megan Oldham, from Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada, began skiing at age 5. She focused more on gymnastics and figure skating because of her affinity to flipping and spins. At 14, her brother suggested she try freestyle skiing. Oldham never looked back.
Now 24, Oldham has an impressive resume. She is a three-time X Games gold medalist and has four World Championship medals. All that was missing was an Olympic medal, after placing fourth in big air at the Beijing 2022 Games.
That changes today after Oldham wins bronze in the women’s freeski slopestyle. To come back from that hard fall in the second run to post her best score in the final is very impressive.
Canada now has two medals at the Milan Cortina Games.
