RTX 5060 8GB graphics card
The RTX 5060 8GB is one of the best graphics cards you can buy if you’re after something more affordable, great for 1080p, and with all the latest features from Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture. Notably, unlike the RTX 5050, this card features GDDR7 VRAM, which is significantly faster than GDDR6. It also features 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen tensor cores, the latter of which powers the new Multi-Frame Generation technology. MFG comes in especially handy if you’re using this card for a touch of 1440p gaming, too, allowing for playable framerates and enhanced performance.
Intel Core i5-14400F processor
As far as budget friendly processor go, the i5-14400F is a real winner when it comes to gaming performance, multitasking, and efficiency. It features 10 cores, which is a touch more than your standard 8 found in most lower-cost processors, making it a good choice for streamers, video editors, and more. You’ve got a decent boost clock speed of 4.7GHz and 20MB L3 cache, which is good for 1080p and 1440p gaming at higher fps with lower frame latency. One thing to note is that since this is a 14th-gen processor, it’s builton the LGA 1700 socket. Good for affordability, but it’s not as future-proof as some of the newer LGA 1851 socket Core Ultra models.
Storage and RAM
What’s great to see here is that this build packs DDR5 RAM, instead of DDR4, which isn’t always the case with RTX 5060 prebuilds. It’s opted for a more modest, but appropriate, 16GB of DDR5, which is going to be excellent for gaming, multitasking, and running various RAM-intensive creative applications. On top of that, it packs a 1TB SSD, which is more than enough for a good handful of AAA games, but may require the occassional touch of space management from time to time.
Things to consider
It’s a great PC in all honest, and the pricing is on point, but it’s also worth investigating some RX 9060 XT 8GB and 16GB options before commiting, especially if you’re looking for excellent bang for your buck when it comes to raw performance.
