This hobby is becoming exponentially more expensive with each passing year, games are asking for higher and higher specs and also increasing in price which makes me play more and more lightweight indie titles, which contradicts the entire point of a high end PC.

I could live my entire life just playing Stardew Valley, Terraria, Factorio and Civilization, but once in a while I wanna play a new release like BF6, so I need a top of the line PC. I don't regret it, PC is my favorite platform and will ever be, but I don't think I can continue this hobby for much longer, and things are not giving signs of improving.

I'm not gonna sell it, I just won't upgrade it anymore, when my current PC isn't up to spec with modern games, I'll just live with my current library, my PC can play more games that I'll ever have time to finish.

Is it worth spending increasingly amounts of money for a diminishing amount of games? I'll leave that up to you.
