Hey everyone. Good morning, afternoon, or evening.
I’m pretty new to undervolting and I have a question about it. Can undervolting cause the kind of graphical issues I’m showing in the images?
Right now I’m undervolting an RTX 3090 at 1860 MHz / 850 mV, and while temperatures have dropped drastically (it now sits around 60 °C while gaming, and in benchmarks like FurMark it peaks at 72 °C), I’m not sure if this is just placebo or me actively looking for issues. That said, I’ve noticed a few graphical bugs here and there. I can’t tell if they’re caused by the undervolt, or if the game itself is just buggy and it just happens to coincide with me testing and closely monitoring the UV.
Since you’re more experienced with this, I’m sure you’ll have some insight. I sincerely apologize if this is a basic or silly question, but I couldn’t find clear information about it, and I really didn’t want to ask an AI since they tend to make up a lot of things.
Performance-wise, everything has been excellent. No stuttering, no FPS drops. I also haven’t seen the strange behavior happen outside of Marvel Rivals. I tested GTA V with RTX on Ultra and played Helldivers 2 for a while as well. On top of that, I ran separate VRAM and adaptive 3D tests (from 30% to 100%) in OCCT for one hour each, and both tests passed with no errors.
I would really appreciate any information you can share, from advice on setting up less aggressive profiles to details about possible warning signs a GPU might give when an undervolt is pushed too far.
