Alex is scheduled to join the Street Fighter 6 roster next on March 17, 2026. There will also apparently be a major balance patch accompanying Alex’s release.
We’re still over a month away from all of that happening. However, it would seem that Takayuki Nakayama, director of Street Fighter 6, recently decided to share some official Capcom illustrations of Alex.
This artwork depicts Alex in his nostalgic costume. In other words, his appearance is based on how he looks in Street Fighter 3: Third Strike rather than his redesigned Street Fighter 6 costume.
According to Nakayama, these illustrations were created by Takeshi Ochi. This individual has been responsible for a number of character illustrations for Street Fighter 6.
In the illustration that gives us a view of Alex facing forward, Nakayama highlights one of Alex’s iconic quotes. “You can’t escape!” Notably, this is something that Alex often screams when performing a Power Bomb against an opponent.
Nakayama ends up providing two illustrations of Alex. One gives us a view of his front while the other one has him turned around.
