A month ago, I bought a second-hand PC with a Ryzen 7 5800x and an RTX 3060. Until yesterday, it never crossed my mind why my CPU never exceeded 60 degrees Celsius and I got 14,000 points on Cinebench R23. I decided to look it up in the BIOS, and I have to be honest, I am extremely confused by this configuration.

It is set to always be at 4.2 GHz. The PPT, TDC, and EDC look like they are overclocked. The profile that was saved in the BIOS was also called "overclocked."

My question is, is this a good, balanced setup for this CPU? Am I missing something by not pushing it to 4.7 GHz, like the stock one?

I have no experience in overclocking, etc. I've already learned the basics, but I'm still pretty confused about what I'm looking at.

Also, I could only check the PPT, TDC, and EDC values when loading the previous owner's BIOS save; otherwise, they are set to auto. The settings are also very confusing.
