It’s been nearly a year since we’ve seen Area 99. I’m gonna be completely honest, I first started playing Warzone at the beginning of S2 of BO6, I know, what an odd time to hop in the fight 😅 anyways, I began my journey mostly running Area 99. Rebirth Island is a great map but it just wasn’t and still doesn’t hit like Area 99 did for me or even Haven’s Hallow. I never played Warzone during launch or during MW2/MW3 life cycle so I’ve only played the maps Vondel, Ashika, Al Mazrah through all my DMZ runs, and I still genuinely feel like Area 99 was my favorite of them all. Obviously that’s a hot take considering a majority of the fan base despised this map. I guess my question for you all is simple: what exactly did you hate about the map? Or if you’re in the 10% of people who loved it like I am, what is that you drew you in to this map? I think my favorite part of this map was the Manufacturing/Warehouse POIs and how those little trenches across the map would lead to other POIs making it a better solution than running out in the open.
