Well, long story- the attempt to fix the Z170X-SOC Force's malfuction by replacing ECs didn't work.
I tried to figure out by myself without a proper knowledge- since it was definitely a short-circuit. The symptoms were: Even without the CPU and RAM, the motherboard turns on if I hot-plug the ATX 24-pin, like a PSU tester.
And I definitely killed it by using a flathead screwdriver bit and shorted the damn NPECU_1 chip which receives the entire electrical signal from the PCH to standby all the components….
And at last, the power button of it flickered like it had agonal rhythm in ECG… Even the expert that I know told me, that particular area should never be shorted out.
So I just confirmed killed it; decided to let it go, then sold my 9900KS for about 280 bucks, and kept the rest. Bought the i9-10980XE, which was my dream CPU since teenage, and bought the X299-WU8 by Gigabyte for multiple PCIe X16 cards. (HighPoint SSD7105 controller is damn expensive)
Sad to say I had to let go of this old yet magnificent motherboard to embrace the other things. This thing was really underrated as back in the day the AMD couldn't even overclock the ram to 4000MHz. I wonder how my new overclocking journey will be.
