I have a GTX 1060 3 GB ( Msi gaming x) graphics card. Using the OC Scanner, I first found the core and fan values, then increased the memory speed from 200 MHz to 400 MHz and then to 500 MHz. (Image 2). As you can see in the first image, it has Samsung memory, and I've heard that this is good and important in terms of overclocking potential.
Also, here are some benchmark results I got with +500 MHz.

Cyberpunk 2077 54 fps vs 59 fps
Assassin's Creed Odyssey (low settings) 72 fps vs 80 fps
Assassin's Creed Odyssey (medium settings) 62 vs 70 fps
Total War: Troy (low) 181 vs 202 fps
Total War: Troy (medium) 114 vs 118
Red Dead Redemption 2 40 vs 45
Far Cry Primal 89 vs 94
Yuzu emulator (Echoes of the Wisdom) 88.5 fps vs 91.
- My first question is, as stated in the title, can I go above 500, should I?
- My second question is, in the long run (yes, I know the 1060 3 GB doesn't have a very long lifespan), will these settings cause me any problems?
Edit: I forgot to mention the temperatures: Furmark's temperature without overclocking is 61, hotspot 69. With +500 o.c, the temperature is 69, hotspot 77.
