Tabletop gaming celebration ZatuCon returns this weekend at The Forum in Norwich. ZatuCon 2026 promises a vibrant celebration of gaming culture – from casual play to competitive tournaments – all set within the heart of Norwich. The free-entry event takes place on Saturday 31 January 2026 from 11am-6pm in The Atrium, welcoming hobbyists, families and competitive players for a full day of games, demos, shopping and community fun.
Organised by retailer Zatu Games, ZatuCon 2026 welcomes both new players and seasoned gamers. Attendees can dive into a free boardgame library and play area, featuring a wide selection of modern classics and hidden gems. Whether you’re into strategic Euro-style games, cooperative adventures or quick party titles, there’s something to suit every taste.
In addition to open gaming, the event will feature exclusive game demos — a chance to sample recent releases, upcoming pre-orders and fan favourites before they hit shelves. Enthusiasts can also visit the Zatu pop-up shop, where exclusive deals, bestsellers, accessories and a wide range of trading card games will be on offer. Expect stock including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana and more.
ZatuCon Open Pokémon Tournament
One of the highlights of the day will be the ZatuCon Open Pokémon Tournament, running in conjunction with the main event. The Standard-format Pokémon event consists of 4–6 Swiss rounds, followed by a top cut. Every entrant receives booster packs and prize raffle entries. Prizes include highly sought-after items such as a Charizard Ultra Premium Collection, a Champion playmat and booster packs from current expansions. Random draw prizes – including Elite Trainer Boxes – will also be awarded to participants.
