Hi, this has been my first attempt at overclocking anything when i recently upgraded my pc, doing my research online, youtube and reddit to see how i should overclock my 5950x.
Google and ChatGPT seem to think my chip is a top 1-2% "golden sample" i think they be a bit too generous so i wanted to post here and see where others have pushed their 5950x to so i can compare.
system:
5950x
rtx 4080 msi gaming x trio
msi b550 tomahawk max wifi
32gb ddr4 3600mhz cl18 ( i have this at 3733mhz fclk 1866mhz and have tightened my timings and sub timings)
montech xr case with montech hyperflow 360 aio
msi a1000gls psu
using PBO, my PPT is 250 TDC 200 EDC 210
raising my PPT further lowers my score even though max temps during benchmarks are max 76° so plenty thermal head room.
curve optimizer I've spent alot of time doing per core instead of all core and findkng stable limits.. my lowest cores are -27 and are staggered to my best cores at -5
boost +200mhz
best core boost iv seen is 5.225ghz
best effective clock 4.698ghz
TLDR- is my 5950x a strong sample with PBO/CO with 360mm aio cooling?
