Yes, I know "tHiS dESiGn iS iNTeNTiOnAL"

The problems are:
1. Buttons don't respond instantly to touch input. They respond after releasing/lifting your finger off the screen. This makes the buttons have slower response time regardless of how fast your fingers are
2. Your finger can slide when trying to press a button fast. It's enough for your finger to slide one 10th of a millimeter off the button and the input will not register at all

Like, yeah ik, skill issue on my side. Sorry I don't have tiny fingers like a 12 yo, and I don't want to take my dear time to press the buttons, I just want them to respond instantly when I press them (insane, ik! why would you want the UI to be responsive and usable??)

Suggestion: add an option in advanced controls called "instant touch response" for buttons that currently respond to swiping. That would be: fpp switch, quick scope change, open/close loot box/crate, open/close pick-up list, open/close door, firing mode switch, open/close backpack, drive and get in – vehicle, change seat (vehicle controls) etc..
