United States-based casino games maker Konami Gaming Inc has announced the appointment of Deron Hunsberger (pictured) as vice president, North American game sales. A Tuesday press release said Mr Hunsberger brings “a 25-year track record of customer partnership and business results”.
“In his new role, he is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives in land-based casino games markets across the United States and Canada,” stated Konami Gaming, a U.S.-based unit of Japan’s Konami Group Corp.
Mr Hunsberger previously served as Konami Gaming’s director of slot sales from 2000 to 2006, as the per the update.
Tom Jingoli, president and chief operating officer at Konami Gaming, said in prepared remarks: “Deron Hunsberger’s demonstrated customer commitment, solutions-driven approach, and passion for continuous improvement algin with our organisation’s enduring values and key objectives.”
Mr Jingoli added that Mr Hunsberger’s “prior experience with Konami further positions him for success in this role, leading an incredibly talented and dedicated team of representatives serving casinos from coast-to-coast”.
Before rejoining Konami Gaming, Mr Hunsberger served as a sales director at United States-based gaming supplier AGS LLC.
Previously he spent more than seven years with Australia-listed slot machine maker Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd, including as president for the North American market.
Konami Gaming announced in October the launch of its “Solstice” cabinet with a new series of game titles.
The new game titles include “All Aboard Diamond”, “Red Fortune Rail”, and a new slot series based on the Bomberman video game.
