Anyone got any explanation for my sudden temp drop off on the Steel Nomad stress test? It will drop from 80C to 75C randomly a quarter of the way through the test or sometimes almost halfway through. Could this be a bad mounted cooler that isn’t making full contact until a certain temperature? I only say that cause this card has some weird heat expansion issue where it will make an intermittent ticking sound as it heats up and cools down.
The GPU fans don’t seem to drastically boost when it happens, but maybe my case fans are and picking up the slack without me knowing? Seems like to sudden of a drop for case fans to be doing this though. The frequency boost clocks all seem to stay stable too during it and it passes the test at 98.3% or higher.
Card is undervolted .9mv at 2827MHz.
