Just a little bit of a rant but a subportion of this community needs to collectively stop huffing the nostalgia copium because Activision has made it crystal clear they do not care about remastering older COD titles and whether the rumors from yesterday we're made up or not my point will still stand.
How many years have you all spent begging for remasters while they sit on them as proven through the classic content they put out into their modern slop? They’ve shown you their hand: they aren't interested in honoring the legacy of the franchise if it doesn't involve bundles or a monthly BP subscriptions. At this point, expecting a high-effort remaster is just setting yourself up for disappointment. They’ve moved on, and honestly, you all should too.
The "golden age" is dead and buried under MTXs and AI-generated store filler. Why would they ever give you guys a standalone, polished classic when they can just drip-feed you "remastered" content as seasonal content to keep the engagement numbers up for their latest slop? They’ve traded the soul of this franchise for revenue and as long as you people keep buying into this, they have zero reason to look back. It’s time to accept that the CoD you once loved is gone, stop asking for remasters and start realizing that this franchise is a storefront with EOMM now.
