TLDR: traded an Xbox series s for an x570 r5 2200g and a 580 in the Corsair case. Sold the old and upgraded all the hardware except the motherboard and psu. Had thermal issues so I swapped cases, thought it was ugly and still too hot. Got all black everything and turned off the rgb on my ram to get the look I wanted.

My whole build is second hand other than my case and fans, my goal was to build a 1080p 240hz pc for as cheap as possible. Aesthetic got to me a bit so I ended up swapping to all black and getting a more uniform pc. I sold my old ram (16gb of ripjawz), gpu (3060 12gb vision) and aio (id cooling frost flow) to my best friend for $265 and we’re building him an all white pc to get him off the Xbox series S. Just an overall win for everyone and expanding the gaming pc community.

$673.67- $265 =$408.67

My total build cost.
