RX 9070 XT graphics card
The RX 9070 XT is one of the best graphics cards you can get for 1440p and 4K, from a price-to-performance perspective, and in terms of pure raterization, it trades blows with the RTX 5070 Ti, making it a tempting alternative. It’s built on the new RDNA 4 architecture, and features improved ray tracing and AI capabilities, alongside a substantial 16GB of, albeit older-gen, GDDR6 VRAM. Ryzen 7 9700X processor
This processor is a good all-rounder that doesn’t completely break the bank. It’s an AM5 CPU, and features 8 cores and 16 threads, making it a decent choice if you’re looking for something to handle more demanding multitasking. For gaming, it packs an impressively big 5.5GHz boost clock speed, which, when combined with its large 32MB L3 cache, adds up to excellent performance. Read our review for more details.
Storage and RAM
This build features 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is a very good amount that’s going to help everything feel responsive and snappy, especially when playing heavily modded open-world games or running demanding creative applications, like Adobe Premiere Pro, for example. In terms of storage, it’s a little light at 1TB, but still enough for a decent handful of games.
Things to consider
This build comes in at less than your typical RTX 5070 Ti PC, but these are still worth checking out if you don’t mind upping your budget a bit. That’s because the RTX 5070 Ti overall is the better card out of the two, simply as it pulls away with its 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, MFG, and faster GDDR7 VRAM. Generally speaking, for gaming, the RX 9070 XT is a solid choice that could save you some cash, but for content creation, AI, as well as gaming, the RTX 5070 Ti is the way to go.
