So far, we know that any time between now and next week we will get one of the biggest CS2 updates, with the most substantial indications from steamdb and data miners like gabefollowe/thor/aqua…
Now, as we know/learned, the Chinese market usually reacts ahead of time due to leaks from higher-ups. Precisely, before the update can be released, it must be approved by the government.
Therefore, if we combine these two events, there's a plausible chance that not only is going to be a massive content update, but we will also get another new system, which could possibly be:
1) Ability to use knives in the trade up to a) try and get another one, b) convert them into the stars, c) use for a trade up to get new cosmetics like shoes/pet/etc
2) A bid system that uses stars to win an item from the armory
3) Cases will be discontinued, and we will have armory + terminals, hence they are selecting skins that will be the easiest to pump for high gains
4) Most likely it's not 3 as well, all know devs don't know this number, but we do know there're instances when after not using something they bring it back – new operation!
