Apparently I’ve been doing OC + UV wrong. I usually do a blanket Core OC / Memory OC then UV at a certain mV and call it a day, but I noticed idling at 40W-50W. To get lower consumption, especially at idle, you'll want to only target a select mV range.
In my case, the 5080 idles at 800mV, so I targeted 820mV to 975mV as my OC range and kept everything stock clocks. This lowered my idle consumption from 40W-50W to just 19W. Lmk if this has been a thing already but I'm just finding it out now which in case better late than never
