FAQ:

  • What's Fireteam? – Here
  • What's the Fireteam Group? – Here
  • How do I join this tournament? By just starting up Cold War, going to Multiplayer, and searching for Fireteam > Fireteam Moshpit in the lobby when the time for the tournament arrives

I'd advise that you join the Fireteam Group so that you'll be notified when the tournament begins. It's a community of people who try to play Fireteam every week, and it's been quite successful recently

Hello,

As many people here know, I've been trying to get people to play Fireteam: Dirty Bomb for a decent amount of time now – you can see tons of posts on my profile. It's a mode on Cold War that was incredibly entertaining, but it never got the traction it deserved in my opinion. The maps are beautiful, the objective is a nice combination of calm and chaotic, and it allows for you to play in lots of different ways

After thinking of more ideas to promote Fireteam, I was reading the subreddit rules and found that giveaways are allowed as long as you contact a mod first. I spoke with a mod, and they said that they allow things like codes, but not cash prizes. So, would you all like me to host a Fireteam tournament, and the winner gets something like a Cold War code for a friend? We'll figure something out

If this tournament goes ahead, the winner will be whoever achieves the highest score out of all games. For example:

  • Game #1, Player #1 gets 27,545
  • Game #2, Player #2 gets 15,780
  • Game #3, Player #3 gets 24,785
  • Game #4, Player #1 gets the highest score again with 34,215
  • Game #5, Player #4 gets 41,560

Player #4 would win, because they got the highest score out of all games

For a fair tournament, rules would obviously need to be established. I'm not handing the prize to a cheater. The rules would be:

  • No cheating of any kind, for example boosting and aimbot
  • I must be in your lobby. If this post was to get a ton of traction, and there was 4 different Fireteam lobbies (just as an example), I won't have any proof of any score in any lobby other than the one I'm in

How will I know if someone's really good or a hacker? Because the Theatre mode exists. After each match, I'll note the name and score of the best player. The next day, I'll be watching the Theatre to make sure they're not snapping onto targets. This is to ensure that you get a fair chance of winning this tournament. Fair enough?

If I think of any more necessary rules, I'll edit this post. If you've got any questions or constructive criticism (people can critique and still be respectful), comment below
