Limited Run Games has announced a worldwide release of Tenshi no Uta: The Angel Verse Collection for Nintendo Switch, marking the first time the classic JRPG series will be officially available outside Japan.
The collection bundles Tenshi no Uta and Tenshi no Uta II: Datenshi no Sentaku together on a single cartridge. While the physical package released in Japan in September 2024, this new announcement brings the compilation to an international audience for the first time on Nintendo Switch.

Originally released on the PC Engine, the Tenshi no Uta series is known for drawing on Celtic mythology and focusing heavily on character relationships and story continuity. Both games feature traditional turn-based RPG design, party-based combat, and exploration-driven progression, with optional content like rare weapons that encourages repeat play.
The first game follows Kearu as he searches for Cleia, his fiancée from the celestial realm, after she is taken by monsters. That rescue attempt ties into a larger conflict involving the resurrection of the Demon King Lucifel. At the time of release, its five-member party system stood out among console RPGs, alongside its narrative emphasis on romance and loss.
The sequel, set 100 years later, shifts focus to a new protagonist named Fate, who meets an amnesiac girl named Lianna. While the setting changes, the story remains closely connected to the original, bringing back returning characters such as Kearu and continuing its themes across parallel realms.
Limited Run Games confirmed it will offer Tenshi no Uta: The Angel Verse Collection both physically and digitally on Nintendo Switch. A deluxe edition will also be available, with pre-orders opening on January 2, 2026.
