When I see people talk about the great maps of BO6, it's always Terminus, Citadelle, and Shattered Veil. But Reckoning gets left out of that conversation often times when it actually does so much right:
-
The main quest feels the most classic of any BO6 map, with steps that are interchangeable and promote learning how to optimize the playspace similar to maps like Origins and Dead of the Night
-
The side EEs are easily the best selection in BO6. This includes EEs like the map-unique aether blade, the sharpshooter game, free loot bins, multiple free perks, free self revive, and aetherella companion, among others
-
The gameplay loop of this map is so damn good for high rounds. Upgrading all the caster turrets to their max, on top of using the aether blade for speed along with the gorgofex and free kazimirs, it creates the most unique high round experience in BO6
-
Reckoning gave us fully unique elite and special enemies in the Uber and Kommando Klaus. Players had been begging for map-unique enemies throughout the whole life cycle, and they finally gave it to us
-
We've never had a zombies map with two separate bossfights. While yes, Richtofen is a bit unbalanced, this feature provides an experience unlike any other zombies map
-
As much as some people like to hate on the Gorgofex, it's undeniable that it's capable of a ridiculous number of kills with each charge shot still only using 1 bullet
