1st) Hogwarts Legacy

2025 was a year spent clearing my backlog, so while it was older, I got hooked on how well the world was recreated, and the battle system was fun.

2nd) Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Its story of the past was depicted in a moving way, allowing me to enjoy the world of Zelda on a deeper level.

3rd) Cyberpunk 2077

It might be a little late to say this, but it was amazing how this game fused its setting and mechanics, granting a high degree of freedom and volume.

Kazuhisa Wada (Persona Series Creative Producter)

1st) Urban Myth Dissolution Center

I was blown away. This game really nails the key aspects. A model for indie games to follow.

2nd) Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy

This game’s volume is insane. My son completed all 100 endings.

3rd) Dragon Quest Walk

I’ve been playing this game for a long time [Editors Note: Wada First included this game in his top 5 in 2019]. In 2025, I succeeded in getting a young person from the planning department hooked.

Kazuyuki Yamai (Shin Megami Tensei series Producer and Director)

1st) Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

I’m impressed with the idea of creating a JRPG with the aesthetics of a Western painting.

2nd) Mario Kart World

It’s impressive that Nintendo is still able to come up with new ideas for this series.

3rd) Urban Myth Dissolution Center

I was blown away by the pixel art and animation (sometimes giving a 90s vibe).

4th) Cyberpunk 2077 (Ultimate Edition)

Wow, I was amazed by how much movement this game has.

5th) Faith: The Unholy Trilogy

This game is inhabited by madness and demons.

The top games of 2024 for Atlus developers Shinjiro Takada, Naoto Hiraoka and Kazuhisa Wada can be read in last year’s post.
