Mr. Big has been released for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, marking the end of Season 1 DLC. It’s interesting to note that Mr. Big was released earlier than his initial release window, indicating that SNK is eager for Season 2.
About 32 years ago, the conclusion of the battle between Wolfgang Krauser and Terry Bogard was showcased in the form of an animation within Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle. Curiously, SNK has decided to release a rehashed animation that replayed the events of that scene.
“Interesting,” simply stated Wolfgang Krauser after Terry had dealt him a powerful blow in the form of a Power Geyser. “It seems I am defeated. But I regret nothing! Farewell, Terry!”
Following this, Krauser throws himself from the building. It’s funny how antagonists end up getting thrown off of buildings whenever Terry defeats them, though Terry himself isn’t ever seeking this sort of outcome.
From the distance, a man in the suit is talking on the phone. “Yes, it’s been confirmed. Krauser’s odds of survival are thought to be high. Understood…”
It would seem that Krauser is set to make a grand return, 32 years later. SNK appears to be hinting that Wolfgang Krauser could become a playable character for Season 2 DLC.
“A lot of interesting things are coming your way—now and later,” said SNK in the description of the video. “SNK is cooking up surprises. It’s going to be non-stop.”
Here’s a look at how the animation compares to its original version from 32 years ago:
