If you browse the Workshop and see cool looking map thumbnails with high ratings, do not download them before checking the file size. A lot of these maps are fake and will ask you to download extra files, which can lead to something else entirely.

The first picture shows a fake map with an extremely small file size, usually under 10 MB. Real maps are much larger, as shown in the second picture. These fake maps are very common on the workshop now, so always check the file size before downloading. I never download the extra files to see what happens because it looks sketchy as hell, and I doubt anything good would come from it anyway. This is not how workshop uploads are supposed to be like , so it is clearly misleading and a scam. These ratings are also bot generated, used to bait people into downloading the maps.
