Ryzen 9 9900X processor
This processor is a great option to go for if you’re looking for something powerful for gaming, but also with strong multitasking performance for productivity or creative workflows. It features 12 cores and 24 threads, with a large 64MB L3 cache, and a big boost clock speed of 5.6Ghz. Despite being high-performance, it’s incredibly efficient with its lower 120TDP, and able to run at cooler temperatures than some of the Intel 14th-gen alternatives, too. RTX 5080 graphics card
The best graphics card you can buy without shelling out thousands on an RTX 5090, the RTX 5080 is an excellent way to go for 4K gaming and demanding creative tasks, like 3D rendering, and more. You’re getting 16GB of faster GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, designed for significantly better ray tracing and path tracing performance, and powerful 5th-gen tensor cores for next-level AI capabilities. Storage and RAM
Your standard high-end offering here, with 32GB of DDR5 and a 2TB SSD. This amount of RAM is going to work well if you’re playing heavily modded, open-world games, but it’s also going to ensure you can run RAM-intensive creative applications, too. The 2TB SSD is more than enough for storing AAA games and a ton of 4K footage, without filling up too quickly.
Things to consider
To be honest, for the price, this is a banger. The only real consideration is the CPU, and if you need something that’s more of an all-rounder, or would prefer a gaming-oriented option instead. If this sounds like you, check out something with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D instead, as it has a larger L3 cache of 96MB, and is specifically designed for maximum gaming performance. You could also check out Intel options, too. Something like the Intel Core Ultra 7-265K could be a good shout for an all-rounder if you want something roughly the same price, but spending a bit more could get you the top dog 9-285K, which is a bit of a productivity powerhouse and designed with both gaming and creatives in mind.
