Basically what the title is saying but I can go into more detail. I have EXPO I enabled for my 6400 2x16gb ram kit. It is paired with a ASUS tuf rtx 5070. I have the GPU on Q (quiet mode switch on the card itself) and no overclock done to it. In my BIOS I went to AMD Overclocking. Changed PBO from auto to Advanced and set the curve optimizer to -20. In the videos I’ve watched they explained how I should see much lower temps and identical performance. I’m just worried I missed a crucial step and am missing out on much better cooling.

The picture is my hwinfo I had open while playing grand theft auto 5 enhanced and arc raiders. Looking at the average temps it doesn’t look so bad but when I’m loading a new area or flying over the city in gta, it’ll spike to 80-85c and then my CPU fan speed kicks to 100 and cools it back down and then it goes down to a lesser fan speed. I have not messed with any fan curve in bios. I left it at the mobo default.

If anyone has had a similar experience with this chip or a similar chip and has a potential solution that would be very helpful. After all this I’ve decided I’m just gonna buy a professional prebuilt next time it’s time to upgrade since it’s clear idk what I am doing.
