I REALLY wanted this guitar since I first got Cyberpunk back in 2020, even though I didn't know how to play guitar back then. I started teaching myself to play guitar last year and began sourcing parts for this back in September, then finished the build early October.
I say "finished" as it's currently in functional condition, but I do have plans to change/add things. Namely swapping the cheap pickups I got to test everything with something better, adding the parts I lack the skill to manufacture (pickup selector switch and the bridge cover) as well as some more accurate stickers.
I wanted to share here as I found a lot of useful information here on Reddit and from tons of YouTube videos. But many of them didn't cover half of the stuff more specific to this guitar. This is my first time doing anything like this and in total it came to around $500AUD. I had a lot of issues with keeping the high E string held down, guess that's what I get for using cheap parts from Amazon and Ali Express (Ignore the stings sticking out at the top of the first image, new strings didn't know if high E issue still happening). Once those issues had been resolved the guitar now plays beautifully and I can say with confidence this was such a fun project to work on.
