I’m asking the overclocking subreddit because I think yall are familiar with these kits?
Please help me decide which to go with. Both trident z5 royal neos. One is 2x24gb 6000mhz cl26, & the other is 2x16gb 6000mhz cl28. I’m looking for the absolute best plug n play option that won’t have “accelerated degradation” due to heat or whatever other reason, or cause too much strain on IMC and not even be able to run at expo speeds.
I ask because I’ve seen mixed reports whether or not you can daily run 1.45v on your RAM, and also that 2x24gb kits are harder to run? Idek. I barely know what an IMC even is.
I’m not trying to overclock or anything, ALL I want is to plug these bad boys in, turn on EXPO and have the highest 1% lows possible. I mean that’s ideal, I think there may be a few other settings I’ll have to adjust/enable but I’m just not trying to go and adjust every single sub timing and have to reset cmos 100 times til it’s good. Idk how it works haha.
It’s going with a 9800x3d on a rog strix x870e-e r2. Case is very well ventilated so cooling shouldn’t be an issue (I don’t think) ideally i wont be needing a dedicated fan for my RAM. Any advice is helpful and appreciated. Thank you!
