Laptop:
HP Victus 15.6" Gaming Laptop
• Intel Core i5-13420H (13th Gen, 8-core, up to 4.6 GHz)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 (6GB)
• 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM
• 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD
• 15.6" FHD (1920×1080) 144Hz IPS display
• Windows 11
Issue:
In CS2 Premier matches I’m getting around 100–135 FPS, and on heavier maps or during fights it can drop even lower.
Offline or lighter situations are higher, but in real public matches this is what I’m seeing consistently.
Question:
Is this normal performance for an RTX 4050 + i5-13420H laptop in CS2?
I expected to be able to hold 144+ FPS more consistently to fully utilize my 144Hz display and stay competitive.
What I’ve tried:
Various FPS boost guides
NVIDIA Control Panel optimizations
Windows power settings
In-game settings tuned for performance
Despite all that, the FPS in Premier still hovers in the 100–130 range.
Looking for:
Confirmation if this is expected behavior for this hardware in CS2
Any realistic fixes or upgrades (RAM, settings, cooling, etc.) that could improve Premier FPS
Thanks in advance.
