some of you may have noticed that I couldn't finish (and post) this game yesterday. yeah. I also couldn't believe this took me this long lol
my god was this game a grind. the first few times I died, I didn't even know HOW I died. I haven't seen the enemies yet, so what the hell is killing me?? 38 times. I died 38 times on my first mission.
this is the first game in my journey that made me google strats, and boy was I glad I did. Player, meet Drakon + Thermal. had to grind a couple missions first in lower diffs for the levels, but no worries because I redid them in realistic (just so I can say I did it)
the storytelling was… lacking. the real story only started in the few last missions, and even then, it came in scraps. the characters felt like ass (I just finished IW before this so you know where the comparison comes from), and the story itself only became decent AFTER I read a few threads and watched a few videos that explained it.
who could've guessed that the fast af scrolling text tells you you're dead from the very first mission after the intro, right? right?
anyway, I also just found out that there's an alternate campaign. damn. I want to call it off with this game already, but sure, whatever. expect another post. full review is here, and my journey so far is here.
to that guy who can't wait for me to find out what train go boom is, this edit is for you. it took me half an hour (it was my first time touching davinci but hey, I'm satisfied)
onto Nightmares!
(for those who might wonder how I played in realistic when this is my first time, you're onto something. the game is my friend's, and I just started a new campaign. he didn't have the Drakon thermal so that's what I grinded for)
