Hey, I've been AWOL for a while in cs, so I'm definitely washed… but I wanted to share the training method that got me to my peak back when I played comp regularly.
I was never amazing, peaked at LEM in CS:GO, but for the average person looking to improve I highly recommend this training method. It's a bit of a mashup from what I saw pro players do back in the day. This focuses heavily on flicks and confirming aim, AND ONLY THEN increasing speed.
Doing this training with 1 taps is most effective, but 2-3 shot bursts works well. Still, first shot accuracy is the goal so take that how you will.
Side note: instead of deathmatch, community servers running 1v1 arenas are also a great way to put the training into practice before a real match.
Run this training as warmup regularly and I promise you'll have more consistent taps.
