On Overpass, there is this sign in Connector which indicates the existence of an underground hydrant. These signs help, for example, the fire department to locate such hydrants if they are easily missed or may be covered by snow, leaves, etc.
However, there are two problems with this sign in particular:
- This sign does not follow the German norm for such signage (DIN 4066). First of all, its visual layout is incorrect. These signs normally look like this. You can see the swapped order of the "150" (meaning 150 mm diameter) and the "H" (meaning hydrant). Also, some of the elements of the sign do not have the correct size.
- The bigger issue, however, is the information given below the first line. There, the position of the hydrant in relation to the sign is to be indicated. This specific sign indicates that the hydrant is located 0.5 meters to the left of the sign, 7 meters to the right of the sign and 0 meters in front of the sign. This, of course, does not make any sense as the hydrant can never be located to the left and to the right of the sign. Underground hydrant signs always omit one of these two numbers as can be seen also in this second example. There actually exists an underground hydrant near this sign (even if its cover normally says "hydrant"). It is located to the left of the sign (as seen in the second screenshot). Therefore, the sign should actually indicate the location of the hydrant around 2 meters to the left and 0.5 meters in front of the sign.
Valve, please fix this bug. I cannot continue playing Connector in good conscience.
