Denise is hired to infiltrate CyberCore, one of the last megacorps still running 1980s-style infrastructure — tape drives, reel-to-reels, CRT terminals, and machines that break faster than they boot. All she needs to do is steal a small data package.
Of course, nothing goes according to plan.
A drive that loads at 85% and refuses to finish.
The system screaming ABORTED – INTRUSION DETECTED.
Corporate security rushing in before she’s even warmed up her pistol.
A sprint through a flickering red-alarm corridor.
And a safehouse debrief that ends with Barry getting a gun pointed at him (as usual).
I wanted the page to feel like a lost 1988 cyberpunk magazine — heavy inks, halftones, analog tech grit, neon screens, messy hardware, and a protagonist with way too much attitude.
Hope some of you enjoy this little slice of the Meatcorps world.
