Today we’ll be seeing the fourth Capcom Pro Tour World Warrior event for Japan.
Notable players participating include DFM|Go1, Reject|Daigo, SBI|Hibiki, RB|Gachikun, Reject|Tokido, G8S|Sahara, Saishunkan|Nemo, DFM|Itabashi Zangief, CR|Dogura, NOJA|Kei.B, CAG|Fenrich, RB|Bonchan, FAV|Moke, CR|Tachikawa, iXA|Acqua, FAV|Sako, FAV|Fujimura, NOJA|Seiya, G8S|Pugera, VARREL|Mizuha, IBSG|Torimeshi, G8S|Kawano, IBSG|Yanai, CR|Shuto, Zeta|Yamaguchi, Saishunkan|Kobayan, Saishunkan|Machabo, Saishunkan|Cosa, Sasamo, VR|Kichipa, Scarz|Ryusei, iXA|Inaba and many, many more.
Normally, since there are so many World Warrior events throughout the season we only post the results for the finals, but given the tremendous attendance numbers in Japan’s events we’ve made an exception this season for specifically their region.
Attendance isn’t as high as it was for the first event but it’s still extremely big, sitting at an astounding 1,253 entrants.
Now that all other methods of qualification have been exhausted, this is truly the last chance to get a spot in Capcom Cup for many of these players, though some of them have already punched their ticket (you can check out which ones here).
Since Japan is a Super Region, two players will qualify from the region. The first one is the competitor who sits at the top of the regional points leaderboard after the final World Warrior tournament and after that, the 2nd to 9th placers will play in a top 8 bracket for the last spot in Japan’s World Warrior finals, set to take place in February.
Streaming is being done at Capcom Fighters JP.
