Sega and RGG Studio have announced that the December 8, 2025, launch of the Like a Dragon & Yakuza series 20th Anniversary editions of Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut will include special discount upgrade options for owners of the original digital releases. The offer applies across PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam.

The new Director’s Cut of Yakuza 0 features newly added cutscenes, an online co-op Red Light Raid mode, an English dub, and expanded text language support across French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian. It also restores the song “Bubble,” which was missing from the original Western release.

Players who own the digital version of Yakuza 0 on PS4, Xbox One, or Steam before December 8 at 8:29 AM PST will be able to upgrade to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Steam version of the Director’s Cut for $14.99. The discount does not apply to subscription service versions or physical copies, and saved data will not carry over.

Yakuza Kiwami’s anniversary release adds expanded language support and restores the songs “Receive You [Reborn]” and “Bleed.” Players who own the digital PS4 or Xbox One version before December 8 at 8:59 AM PST can upgrade to PS5 or Xbox Series X|S for $1.99. A new Steam version with additional language support launches the same day, with upgrade details to follow. Save data does not transfer, and subscription or physical versions are not eligible.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 also receives a new edition with expanded language options. Players who own the digital PS4 or Xbox One release before December 8 at 9:00 AM PST can upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version for free. A revised Steam version arrives alongside the console upgrade, with further details to follow. As with the other titles, save data will not transfer, and neither subscription nor physical editions qualify.
