I’ve played the game on Normal difficulty and Hard.
I just started a playthrough on Very Hard and I’m loving the game more than ever.
I don’t want to feel like a god, I want to have a challenge, I want to get my ass kicked here and there and actually have to use my brain once in a while.
It’s just fun having to use everything you have at your disposal to survive.
I tried raiding this random outdoor Maelstrom hangout and almost every single one of them had skulls above their head.
All I had was a fucking starter unity 😭
I couldn’t take them all in a fight so naturally I –
Ran through the entire base to get their attention all the while getting shot at from every direction, then found a narrow path to escape the hangout down a little driveway on the side of a building.
They all chased me down the driveway as I lobbed grenades and fires off a few rounds to hold em off.
Then I spotted a car in a parking lot at the end of the driveway.
As I’m getting shot at about to die I break into the car, floor it down the tunnel/drivwat and mow them all down 😭
It was so narrow there was nowhere for them to escape.
Picked up a sniper from one of the dead guys and then I was able to pick the remaining Maelstrom off one by one and I’ve been rocking with the sniper ever since. Felt like a movie man.
And it’s a scenario I otherwise would have missed out on if I was some overpowered overequipped god of a character right from the start.
I just like the challenge / struggle of it all.
