Most depressing ending? Maybe. Most satisfying ending? Maybe also. I love it because usually endings have to maintain some level of ambiguity in order to create the kind of player interpretation discussions this ending has been able to surmise. But this ending pulls absolutely zero punches in being the boldest interpretation of “you are not special anymore, and that might be okay, it might not be.” This kind of a setup is also a great indirect demonstration of the existential philosophy hidden in cyberpunk’s narrative. I aim towards Dex’s “quiet life, or blaze o glory” line when I think about it. The main story already gave you your own way of deciding that, but to a more depressing extent. This on the other hand is just peak neutrality and I love it so much I love cyberpunk omgmgmgmg
