I'm sure this has been pointed out before by someone but with one tournament left in the year, donk has the chance to break the record for highest ever rating in a year and be the first person ever in tier 1 to finish a year with a 1.40+ rating (with the majority of the year being on LAN).
ZywOo's highest is 1.36 (2024), s1mple's 2018 sits a 1.33 (LAN only, 1.35 including online), 2021 at 1.35, though if you filter LAN only it would be at 1.45 – however, 2021 was for the majority still a covid/online year, with only 2 crowd LANs (Stockholm major and Blast in Copenhagen) and 4 LANs that s1mple played in total so it would be unfair to count that (even his Cologne win was only in a hotel). donk's 2024 under the newest rating change is a 1.35 (LAN only)
Disclaimer: just had a quick look, didn't double check every player so there might be someone else, plus due to rating changes over the year numbers have obviously changed. And we are comparing rating 2.0 to 2.1 to 3.0 here with these 3 so take everything with a grain of salt.
Just a fun stat for the top right donk enjoyers that might change with the next rating update! And something to look out for at the major, another chance for donk to make history!
Edit to add: It should go without mention that those numbers are also across different games and from mr15 to mr12.
