So I was thinking about this. Militech already had Songbird and Morgan Blackhand, but what if Adam Smasher was on their side too? Blackhand went MIA for a long time so I don’t know if Militech would even trust him fully anymore, and Songbird feels more like pulling out the nukes. But imagine Smasher jumping ship. How would Arasaka even deal with that?
He was basically the head of Arasaka security and Yorinobu’s personal bodyguard. Before that he was one of their top enforcers. Losing him would be a huge hit, both practically and symbolically.
Personally, I think Arasaka would try to make another Adam Smasher immediately. They’ve got the tech and the money to do it, but whether the replacement would have the same killer instinct or be anywhere near as effective, like how often are you gonna find someone willing to go full Borg just for power?
If he betrayed Arasaka, how do you guys think it plays out? Would Militech instantly dominate, or would Arasaka build something even worse in response?
