Generally speaking, the sweep usually marks the ending of an interaction within a fighting game between two players. This is especially true in Street Fighter 6.
For a character to combo into a sweep, we typically see it as being the last hit of the combo since it tends to knock the opponent down. However, every now and again, some sweeps have special properties that allow characters to continue the combo after landing one.
As such, Jick_D recently highlighted a new combo that he came up for with E. Honda. With this combo, we can see him juggling the opponent using three sweeps.
The reason this works is mostly because E. Honda’s sweep has a hitbox that apparently extends behind the character. This makes sense considering how E. Honda twists his entire body during the action.
To begin, E. Honda must first anti-air Akuma’s dive kick with a Drive Rush sweep after crossing under the attack. E. Honda ends up Driving Rushing three more times (four times in total) in order to make the combo work.
Does the revelation that E. Honda’s sweep can hit backwards like this suddenly propel the low tier character up the tier lists? Very unlikely, but this combo certainly does look cool anyhow.
