C. Viper joined Street Fighter 6 back in October as the second DLC character of Season 3. Considering that Alex and Ingrid aren’t due until early and late Spring 2026, this means we won’t have access to any new Street Fighter 6 characters for the rest of the year.
Initial impressions of C. Viper suggest that she’s good, but many aren’t really sure if she’s worth the effort considering her steep learning curve and high execution requirements. It’s possible the community may need the rest of 2025 in order to properly gauge if C. Viper is a character worth using.
Needless to say, CR|Kazunoko was one of the five pro players to pick C. Viper during the Street Fighter League competition. Kazunoko is known for having exceptionally good execution, so C. Viper makes a lot of sense for him to pick up.
According to the online leaderboard for Street Fighter 6, Kazunoko has bounced around between being the #1 and #2 ranked C. Viper user in the world. As highlighted by the YouTube channel SF6 High Level Replays, Kazunoko has been getting good practice against some of the top players in Japan as well.
In recent videos, Kazunoko has taken on Itazan’s Zangief, Oil King’s Terry Bogard, Dogura’s Elena and Torimeshi’s Dhalsim. While some people believe that C. Viper should incorporate a heavy emphasis on rush down, it’s clear that Kazunoko is taking a more methodical approach with her.
For those that are looking to pick up C. Viper or want to pick up a few tricks with the character, watching Kazunoko in these high level match ups could go a long way.
