We've had a ton of very competitive majors in the past, but honestly, the Budapest major is shaping up to be one of the most highly contested majors of all time. Throughout this entire season, every team has beaten and been beaten by top 10 opponents regularly. Hell, even MOUZ and Vitality, which had been one sided all year is now tied 2-2.
The fact that G2 and Spirit, teams that have a legitimate chance of lifting this trophy are ranked 9th and 7th respectively is insane
Who even is the favorite team coming in?
Now, this isn't the first time a major has been a toss up coming into it. Cluj, Columbus, Atlanta, London, and most recently Shanghai are all great examples of this. However, the toss up, was still very top heavy, unlike this major where teams at the bottom of the top 10 are almost as likely to win the whole thing as the teams at the top.
